The Texas Council of Administrators of Special Education, Inc. (TCASE) is a professional society comprised of nearly 1,200 members who administer and support special education programs throughout the state of Texas.


The organization was founded around 1960 by a group of special education leaders, coming together to share resources and information to better serve students with disabilities. For several decades, volunteers ran the organization until they could no longer keep up with its activities.


The organization now employs six full-time staff members to plan and execute a variety of professional development activities, governmental relations efforts, communications, and product development.


Through proactive leadership, the Texas Council of Administrators of Special Education, Inc. (TCASE) is committed to providing training and technical assistance, facilitating communication among stakeholders, and shaping educational policies and practices in order to promote superior support services for students with special needs.


In principle and in practice, the association values and seeks diverse and inclusive participation within the field of special education. TCASE promotes involvement and access to leadership opportunity to all members regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, nationality, or disability.
